 What’s The Plan?

Tis the season for family gatherings, a time for unwrapping self control. Sometimes taking the soft step is to agree to disagree and allow everyone to retain their composer, in spite of their opinion. The other option of course, is to stiff leg anything you don’t agree with by kicking that idea clear into outer space! The soft step will enhance relationships while the stiff leg works at tearing them apart. You can even feel the wallpaper start to wrinkle when thinking that stiff leg might work his presence into this year’s Christmas dinner. HAPPY Holidays!

 Skillfully Crafted!

I was admiring a Grandfather Clock when I noticed a builder’s label.
“A perfect heirloom, skillfully crafted to last from generation to generation!”
“2 year warranty.”
Excuse me, how many years from one generation to the next again please?

 Invitation to Write!

I’ve just been invited (along with hundreds of other writers) to write a contest article surrounding the theme “Between Fences.” what a great arena of “greener grass” to harvest unique thoughts from? After the winners are announced, if I’m still in blogstream and if I get an article written, I’ll share it with you. Winning entries will be read to the public February 8th.

 Want a Christmas Surprise?

During my working years I worked with an individual who during the Christmas season, went to his bank, withdrew $500.00 in twenty dollar bills down to one dollar bills. Then he had a friend put on a Santa Clause suit and they drove to town. They picked people at random and gave them a one dollar bill or a five dollar bill or a ten dollar bill or a twenty dollar bill, wishing them a Merry Christmas!
How would you react to such kindness?
Or maybe we should be at the giving end of this surprise?

 Coming Or Going?

Or does it really matter?
The poor football can’t ever tell whether it’s coming or going because one of it’s ends are both the same. No matter if it’s momentum has it doing cartwheels in the air, or a rifling spiral, some people will be of the opinion the football is going while, at the very same time, others will look at it as something that’s coming. Would it clear things up any if we would mark a heads and tails on each football? Then, if the head end were visible first, there would be no doubt, the football would be coming. Woops, the heads/tails indicator would be all confused when it’s traveling cartwheel style?
Maybe a football doesn’t have to know which end is which, what is of much greater importance is for us to know whether we are coming or going. Or not?
