 World Needs Easy-Peel

I can almost picture it!
Break the egg into a cup and throw the egg peel away!
Pour the egg into the slightly tapered, square, single egg sized Easy-Peel boiling container.
Seal and lock the lid
Submerse easy-peel in boiling water for three minutes
Let cool for three minutes
Unlock lid, pour slightly tapered square shaped hardboiled egg out of Easy-Peel. The egg shape should resemble the midsection of a pyramid.
Ok, so it is no longer egg shaped
Dice it, devil it or crash smash it
Butter, salt, pepper it and eat it with a square fork!

 A Stunning Observation!

There it was, the idea of a much needed drive-through, turning ripe. It was growing roadside, highly accessible and perfectly located along an extended stretch of busy country highway.
Right beside the drive, directly on the East side of the rural Lawn Mower Repair Shop it stood boldly facing the sun. With snow white Porcelain sparkling, hope rose to my throat. I wasted no time in contemplating how I might own this long awaited invitation being tossed out into open air. Fighting the glare and glitz reflected in the determined morning sunshine, I didn’t see any accessories or Men’s/Women’s sign on the door. As a matter to note, I didn’t even see a door! Alas, the generous invitation for me to patronize it’s beckoning was premature. Obviously, the finishing touches of this drive through convenience station were still a little ways out of reach for immediate occupancy.

 How Long Is A Between?

What does a b e t w e e n measure from start to finish, from the beginning to the end?
A between has some meat to it when it gets sandwiched inside two buns.
The beginning and the end of good and bad sometimes overlaps, gets confused and ends up bending the between in the middle.
Just yesterday, in less than five seconds, The Kansas University Jayhawks added overtime to from the beginning to behind the forty minutes between!
There wasn’t a measured breath available to verify that time stood still between beginning precisely at the time that three pointer left the hand until it finished it’s flight through the net.
That may well have been the shortest but most powerful, best remembered between in all history. It captured and held the attention of literally thousands in it’s short life span.
Between you and me, distance doesn’t really matter!

“Let’s Just Find Out For Ourselves!”

This proven truth has been trampled into the pages of history since age itself has started turning gray and is readily available to today’s public. However, this particular mechanical truth could have been scattered in regions from directly underfoot, clear to that unknown turbulence where the winds celebrate their big, final blow out. And yet, there would have been a swell of deep rutted curiosity saddled to the truth of this truth.
Among us guys, we simply had to prove the validity of this truth for ourselves!
We could have spent $150.00 for a kit and waited days for it to arrive but, we needed it NOW! You see, we were part of a gathered family that afternoon and the sun was moving toward the Western horizon. So we went into this wood piddler’s workshop at the edge of the yard and inside an hour and a half we had a working model of that mechanical fascination.
Much to our delight, our homemade Trebuchet launched a golf ball to within inches of the target repeatedly, that is if the target had been placed correctly.
Don’t burn those pages of trampled history, there are actual, PROVEN truths buried in those volumes!

 I Don’t Get It!

Our calendar tells us exactly –
Which day the moon will appear in full dress,
Which day our rural mail carrier is not going to make his run,
When we should be looking for the Easter Rabbit,
How early Spring plans to arrive this year,
When we can dig out the firecrackers and leaf after leaf after leaf of other important square little reminders!
But yesterday, early in the morning, this same calendar clearly directed us to drive forty eight miles to show up promptly at 10:30am, for an appointment that had been cancelled a month ago and rescheduled for July the second.
Stupid calendar!
