Private Time Reflections

 Express Mail

We were fortunate enough to be at the right spot at the right time to witness the birth of some question marks beginning to float around in our think space as though we were participating in a comic strip!
Our local town has two drive through post office collection boxes side by side next to the post office, an Express Mail drop and the other one is for everything else that isn’t. Inside the biggest mail collection box is a laundry size collection cart on wheels and inside the Express Mail collection box is a much smaller portable collection tray.
“Hey LOOK! Here comes a postal employee pushing an empty laundry cart. It’s 6:30 pm, mail pick up time. Let’s watch, it’s not every day you get to watch a mail pick up.”
He hurriedly unlocks the bulky padlocks on the bigger drop box, pulls out a cart ¾ full of letters and packages. Then he shoves the empty cart inside the box to replace the cart he just removed and locks her back up. Next he rolls that ¾ full cart to the Express Mail collection box, unlocks this box and hand tosses it’s tray’s contents airmail dump, right smack into the mix already in his cart.
“Whoops, please help me try to re-capture my ‘feel good,’ it just got jarred loose and is quickly dancing away, wearing a smirky smile!”
We didn’t look but all we can hope for is that the pick up times on the Express Mail drop are scheduled a lot more often than the everything else that isn’t, otherwise what’s the point?

 “Scale“

“Scale” sounds a lot like the command “sit” except that “Sit,“ bottoms out rather quickly where “scale” just keeps floating. I don’t know if when I hear “Scale” it means I should scale a mountain, draw the mountain to scale, step on a scale, remove the scale from a fish, check if the hector scale applies or chart a satisfaction on a scale of one to ten. How much more complicated can the English language be?
Why can’t we simplify the confusion just a bit by stretching “Scale“ into it‘s intended usage?
Scaletain - to scale a mountain
Scaleraw - to draw to scale
Scaleight - to get your weight from a scale
Scaleish - remove scale from a fish
Scaletor - refers to the Hector scale
Scaleten - on a scale of one to ten
Can you think of other words with a minimum of six options for interpretation?

 Is Absolutely Necessary?

Why not just say yes?
My computer driven thesaurus has absolutely riding on the same skateboard with completely, totally, utterly, extremely, entirely, enormously, and very
While yes is sporting his tuxedo in the family picture along with alright, okay, sure, why not, no problem, of course, agreed and fair enough.
Oh, there’s no doubt in my mind that absolutely’s skateload would be the favorites, the power team in any muscle competition.. It makes good sense because his group has more characters than the yes family does.
It smells to me like absolutely is a shallow overdose of good will with rush on his breath. He sounds like he is the ultimate entity and leaves an extremely narrow foundation for me to build on.
Yes exhibit’s a more participative, calm nature. “Yes” almost feels like a response invitation uncorked and in progress., a wide foundation for me to build on. A simple yes has the ability to move forward with an outstretched hand reaching for yours in confidence.
In summary - Absolutely leaves an extremely narrow foundation to build on!
A simple yes leaves a wide foundation for me to build on and initiates the feeling of participative anticipation. A response invitation uncorked.

 Double Benefits?

I can’t even tell you which TV commercial it is but, the thing that really has captured my attention is the way they make it sound like you get double benefits.
Listen “You spend less time awake AND more time asleep.” Isn’t being awake the flip side of being asleep?
Ok, so what are other choices?
When you’re not awake and you’re not asleep, where are you? La La Land?
I guess advertising is designed to grab attention, it doesn’t have to make sense.
Come to think about it, some people live that way!
Maybe they’re the one’s writing those advertisements.
They could probably write some pretty interesting blogs also. Meanwhile, I'll keep coaxing my treadmill powered scooter uphill!

 Ever Explore Ever?

I’ll wait for you to put your hiking boots on, ‘cause we’re going in!
I’ll study the EVER first, express my opinion and leave room for a second opinion.
Well, forEVERmore! - 1 - A cleverly vocalized impossibility. 2 -
Heinz Ketchup claims to be “thicker than EVER.” - 1 -How many thicks would that be? 2
EVEReady - 1 - I simply don’t believe it. 2 -
EVER sharp - 1 - (See Eveready) 2 -
EVERglades - 1 - Chalk one up for nature. 2 -
Do you EVER plan to - 1 - This one kind of draws one up short, yes? 2 -
Have you EVER been there? 1 - You mean on purpose? 2 -
Have you EVER seen that? 1 - The one I saw must have had parts missing. 2 -
Have you EVER done that? 1 - Was going to but didn’t. 2 -
Have you EVER heard the one about? 1 - No, and I’d probably rather not. 2 -
Have you EVER shared that with anyone? 1 - Started to but, they lost interest. 2 -
To review everything that EVER, in the near future we probably need to develop a long distance mirror. We would want to add a range free, super reflective, visionary fast track with variable settings clear down to and including infinity. You could set the range of this mirror to focus on everything that EVER forEVERbefore.
Well forevermore, never forEVERbefore did I myself realize it might be possible to see that far back, simply by looking forward a little ways into the near future?
