Private Time Reflections

Should Have Called Him Mr. Twister!

This must of happened way back sometime before the name “Twister” gained today’s popularity, or we would have surely thought of it..
He looked like his head was fastened to his body with a spring. It also looked like he had double hinge points in the length of his body. One hinged directly behind his front legs and the other hinged directly in front of his rear legs. His feet tossed freely as if they were mounted on wheels with off center axles!
When his bouncing head coaxed the rest of his body into fast forward, his rear end would move over and go even faster forward. The center section of his body, his stomach, would get cranked cross ways when his rear legs pulled along side his front legs, racing along in the passing lane.
And so in truth, this is how things developed as my granddaughters and I completed building the “design as you go“ adorable, wooden double hinged body, wobbly wheeled, bobbling headed, Dachshund puppy that day so long ago, and pulled him around in the woodshop with a string.
I must have kept wondering over and over, how on earth that cute tricky puppy could possibly convince his rear end to move faster than his front end was moving, because I remember hearing the wisdom of my granddaughter, “That’s just the way it is Grandpa, get over it!”

 Extra Time On My Hands?

Azron nudged me on this one with his famous, “Inquiring minds want to know.”
Well, here it is, I’ll move over so you can all snuggle close in and we’ll gang harvest Old Crystal.
There, do you see it? A very important revelation! Focus in on Old Crystal at about four o’clock. See, most often my hands are holding extra time a little ways in front of me, so more often than not, I will be arriving a little behind time. Are you following me?
Let’s look again, look thru the walkin’ gait in the bull’s eye middle of Old Crystal. If extra time cracks the hatch thru self wind, I believe we’re nosing the edge of perpetual *motion. Those swinging arms are perpetuating energy in real time which most likely formulates into something a little extra.
Hurry, Old Crystal appears to be steaming up, let’s all quickly take one final look
What did you see?

* (Or, we might be nosing the edge of perpetual e-motion since this info is online.)

 Time Out!

Hey, when has yesterday disappeared? What I need is a new clock.
A clock that can slow down the speed of the ball that’s sprinting around the sun,
This would have to be a clock with a little extra time on it’s hands, I think!

 Am I A Good Conversationalist?

How long a piece of time should I use thinking before saying something out loud?
A - “I can do that in no time at all.”
B - “It’ll take me just a minute.”
C - “Let’s see today is Wednesday?
Will most of my thoughts be introduced by -
A - “This is interesting, have you heard about?”
B - “I was listening to the news and”
C - “I came up with something ironic, tell me if you think it will work?”
Are my thoughts usually happy with -
A - A simple yes or no response?
B - Someone sharing a different point of view?
C - Sounding like the final answer?
Well, I don’t rightly know, I believe I need more time to think about it!

 Dizzy Me

I’m noting some things I observed while mowing our country acreage yesterday.
1 - I noticed a pickup on our road, pulling a very stuck mower out of our ditch. (No, it wasn’t a push mower, it kinda looked like it used to be a rider!)
Oh, please skradch number one if you can get your hands on a skradcher. I just remembered, that incident featured me solo, driving our pickup. This included mower clean up and all!
2 - I saw 42,614 baby toads, what does that mean?
3 - I saw a Cottontail runny rabbit running. (I believe this would be normal, ya?)
4 - Plus two land turtles and a pear tree???? Do you think this might be average?
5 - I noticed our 42 year old Austrian Pine that we planted at the end of the row, has finally decided to grow???? It’s whopping 5’ stature is being pitifully dwarfed by 15’ to 20’ brothers and sisters. Who holds the secret, the soil or the tree?????
6 - I noticed our neighbor was mowing
his grass that was also growing.
(I don’t believe this means anything, but go ahead and note it anyhow)
7 - I stopped mowing long enough to try to take a reading from our rural water meter, which it stubbornly ended up keeping in the end. (I should have known that this is normal!)
8 - I’m beginning to notice that that’s about all I noticed.
9 - The end!
