 Junk Ball, Moving!

We can no longer invent the rolling snow ball, it’s already out there collecting more snow. But how about a rolling junk ball, energized with cling? We could start this ball rolling in our basement or out in the garage? The Junk ball design might require a release and spit feature, just in case she rolls over Aunt Manerva’s precious, hand-me-down, antique copper kettle, or some other treasure of unknown value! It would also definitely need a relax and sort button included in the design, to be engaged at the checkered flag, the finish line. We’d surely want that second chance to save some of those long lost treasures which sport a value that has scaled many sunsets.
I just know we’ll need to nudge a second ball into action after we salvage all those collectables spewed from the relax and sort button on the first junk ball. We’ll just have finished restocking our shelves you see! Oh, we’ll have a few throw-aways, but they’ll look mighty skimpy in the bed of a pickup truck! As sure as I sit here, typing this word video, reality visions will go into battle with shelf space and finally erupt into full blossom. That’s when the core of this blog will hit us between our eye sockets and drive us to kicking that second ball into action!

 Apply To Qualify!

Since the demand for the gift of tomorrow has penetrated global proportions, there are rumors that future tomorrows will be consolidated into bundles which will be available only to insider groups of 12 or more people. These groups of people, because of their rank and style, have already been pre-qualified. Starting today, the rest of us ordinaries will have to apply to qualify for an individual tomorrow. Or we must be willing to join a higher ranked insiders group to sweeten our chances of taking a step into the next square on our calendar of life. If we do fail to qualify for our own tomorrows, we will be forced to relive our todays!
You can give this some thought, but don’t be too concerned about doing some drastic changing to aid in qualifying just yet, unless you really need to anyway. Because, I think the above rumor is just that, a rumor. I don’t think it’s a gonna happen! I strongly believe our gift of tomorrows will remain available for some time for many of us, weather we deserve it or not!

 Obedience Or Arrogance?

In mid September, I had the rare privilege of observing two incredible hummingbirds enjoying nectar from our Mimosa Blossoms. These amazing birds can stop their flight in mid air, can fly backwards at will, or they can fly forwards 500 miles non-stop, at up to 71 miles per hr. Wow, how could this much energy possibly be wrapped inside such a tiny sized package?
I don’t know, but God knows, He created the hummingbird and He created you and me. However, I see one major difference, I don’t think God gave the hummingbird the ability to pick and choose. It’s activities aren’t selected from a menu loaded with options contributed by it’s own kind. Assuming this is true, the hummingbird has to depend exclusively on God to provide all its needs.
For me its different. God has given me the option to choose. I can ignore God a little, or I can ignore Him altogether and try going it alone. Or, I can turn to God with a thankful heart and ask Him for help and guidance every day. God even encourages me to ask Him to help you and/or to help someone else I know. Isn’t it puzzling why we don’t take advantage of this God given freedom more often? It seems the least I can do is to identify some gifts God has included in my menu of choices and share them with the rest of you! Participating in the Blogstream is one attempt of sharing my mix of words and thoughts for you to untangle!

Rainbow Lettuce Salad In D Skies.

I am just sittin’, sittin’ back relaxin’ and watchin’,
while rainbow colored leaves are floating around in D Skies full time, shifting from hither to yawn, doing sideway pitches to driveway ditches. It all appears to be a giant runaway rainbow lettuce salad, driven by playful South winds. Winds playing swirligig with acres and acres of that rainbow lettuce salad at a time. Powered “wind miles per hour,” coaxing smaller helpings into yard corner cubicles, against fence rows, around buildings and in and around neighboring trees. And then, about that quickly, these floaters are set free again to float to their final resting spot to rot.
Well, about a gazillion beautiful salad helpings are ending up in our shelterbelt, which seems nigh perfect. Why, it’s almost like the squirrels are planting them there for me, so I won‘t have to bag them! How ‘bout that?

AT THE TRAMPLED EDGE OF AVERAGE

This one sprouted out of my blog, stimulating the creative mind

At the trampled edge of average,
The answers lie in wait.
A crowd is pushing common minds
As if their running late.
A sloppy mix of anxieties,
noodling down, around their plate.
With nervous minutes dancing,
not knowing what their fate.

Suddenly, “creative mind” moves forward,
straight forward through the herd.
Not stopping with two options,
but looking for the third.
He soars over the edge of average
as though carried by a bird.
This is absolutely the dumbest thing
that average ever heard.

But, as the hunt continues
and “creative” displays a find.
Those at the very edge of average
are soon left far behind.
With boundaries being challenged,
escalating to a grind.
Average is being trampled
in the path of a creative mind.
